Oh, the joys of mammograms.. still, better than the potential alternative. *sigh* (Lost a really cool cousin to breast cancer ten years ago, plus a couple aunts. We're pretty hardy stock, it seems, but there is that huge caveat, tragically)
Blarg. I'm probably going to have to go with a slightly stronger optical prescription next time around, given how much of my time is spent focusing on displays not that far from me. Hey ho. At least contacts are so much easier than specs, though without the admitted aesthetic appeal of frames that suit oneself well. I'll have to give my next set some thought - so far, I've always treated my glasses as purely emergency backups, but thinking of them in terms of how they might complement my face (such as it is), I might well wind up using them more routinely, especially when the weather's good, and not too cold. (Boo for glasses fogging up the instant you step indoors, let alone the nuisance factor in the rain)
