So, I took three group pictures of friends today. Each one had faces that were good, and faces that were bad, blinks, no blinks, whatnot. I took all three pics, picked out the best faces from all three and composited them on one pic where everyone looks great.

I rock at Photoshop. :)

Also: turning the layers on and off really fast makes them all animate REALLY hilariously.

Back in the day when I was taking pictures for the paper, I took three pictures of Carol Baldwin (mother of Alec, et. al.; BTW she lives about 20 minutes from me in a rather dull, low-key Syracuse suburb) with a Local Woman. In each picture, someone blinked. In one picture, BOTH blinked.

My Photoshop skills are shaky at best. So I did the only thing I could think to do: Take both photos in which at least one subject had their eyes open, tear them in half and Scotch tape the "good" halves together (tape on the back). The halves were seamless.

I scanned this Frankensteined photo and ran it in the paper. When the Local Woman asked for the photo, I sheepishly explained the surgery involved. She was a good sport and didn't care.

I really should get better at Photoshop ...
