You know, I've never been afraid to contact people I enjoy, look/looked-up-to and admire on Facebook and whatnot. I do this knowing that 90% of the people I friend request will ignore it (or if I get that "Friends Only" notice, I don't even pursue it). It's put me (back) in contact with a lot of the Mortal Kombat folks from my days in the 90s, as well as back-and-forthing with a lot of the Comico/Robotech Comics folks from the 80s.

I'm also not afraid to comment on their posts and pics and whatnot. But sometimes...just a few times...I wonder if that seems kinda creepy on my part.
