Ask something I've always wanted to know about you: Considering you ARE a moden Gallae, and I've recently been diving into the Culture of Rome for the new AWFW story, I've learns that Rome isn't the shining beacon of the ancient world it's often made out to be. If given a chance, would you go back as a gallae?

I did a lot of power-building when I was in denial. It helped me cope and served as useful camoflage. I usually had a bunch going at once (You've seen them) so I'd do a little on one and set it aside to dry then move on the the next one and so on.

You're very welcome. Just because we haven't met in meat-space doesn't mean we haven't met. There's just a little 'yet' stuck in there : )

Good bloody question!

Human life before the late 19th century (which medicine was making real progress) tended to be nasty, brutish and short. The folk back then tended to be inured of such simply because there was not an alternative. Roman society worked mostly along the lines that Mafia does today - you
had patrons who did stuff for you but expected absolute loyalty in
return. If you weren't protected by a patron, religion or lord, you were fair game and likely to be conquered or made a slave.
If I went back as myself (rather than a "previous life") I would already be dead due to appendicitis age 7. If not, I'd be feared/pitied for having the "falling sickness", though as a Galli that might be accepted. It may be that if I had a time machine and could go back I might be either disappointed or very surprised. Either way, if I had that opportunity I WOULD GO!
Living there permanently, maybe. I've seen how communal trans living can go wrong, both recently and years ago when I stayed at a trans hostel in Sydney. I should expect that things haven't changed much over the years.

1. Tell you why I friended you - You were a very very very good friend to me at Dell. As a kid, I felt no one was paying atention to my potential. You did. I adore people who do. :) You're also quite crazy, and crazy folk are fun to have around.
