Take a half pound of stew meat (per person) and brown it over medium heat. While browning add 6 "passes" (passes for me is shaking salt over the whole pan once) of salt, 3 passes of black pepper, 2 passes of garlic powder, onion powder and cumin. Once it begins to cook in it's own juices, sift in 1/2 teaspooon of flour (per person). Brown it a bit more, and add some water and keep cooking till it makes a gravy. That's about it.

You can add veggies (I never do because I never use the whole vegetable and it always ends up rotting away), usually a diced quarter onion and a diced quarter bell pepper per person. Add the onion when you're browning the meat, and the bell pepper just before adding the water to make the gravy.
