For Christmas, I got the Star Trek Box Sets, the entire run of MST3K and Babylon 5.

A lot of the MST3K stuff is from the 50s and 60. Occasionally the 40s. Trek from the 60s. What have I learned after three months of viewing all these?

1) Men must always Punch First, Ask Questions Later, If At All
2) Women are completely unable to control their emotions, making them totally unreliable.
3) Women in high paying and high profile jobs are "Not letting themselves be women."
3a) Often times, a forced kiss by an important male will allow women to realize this.
4) Any man can get anywoman in any position fired so they can "Take care of our kids" without the woman's consent.
5) If a man and a woman are required to spend extended time together alone for any reason at all they must get married, even if it's on the way to Mars in a rocket ship.
6) No matter what kind of terrain you find yourself on, the most sensible shoe for women is high heels.
6a) And a calf-length skirt.
6b) And usually some kind of sundress.
7) Any woman who demands anything is a spoiled brat in need of a spanking.
8) A woman, no matter what her position, including Empress of the Universe, will leave the room and get coffee for men, at the drop of a hat.
9) Women are so incredibly vain, they will allow an evil monster to catch up to them to make sure their hair or makeup looks good.
10) Hippies are bad.
11) All teenagers will rebel all the time "for the kicks" and in general are terribly bad people you should not trust.
11a) Except that one guy with talent who gets the girl.

Gods, I'm glad I live when I do. The 50s are like some wierd Alien Planet. :D
