Laughmare. n. The act of having a dream so hilarious, pleasant or happy that you wake up from goodwill (or your own laughing).
This is a new one, and it applies to what I had last night. I had a dream they were doing a Babylon 5 reunion show of some sort, and for some godawful reason, I was a minor part of the cast. Only a few lines, but by god, I was on TeeVee with some folks I loved watching and interacting with them, especially Tracy Scoggins and Mira Furlan, who were in most of my scenes.
I had some big innuendo punchline I was supposed to reply to a setup Tracy Scoggins' Lochley was delivering. I was supposed to say "Only if you want to catch a case of the crabs." (No really, that was my line at this part, and it would have been hilarious if I could remember the setup). Instead I said "Only if you want to catch a cab." There was dead silence for a minute, Tracey cracked up, and so did the cast and crew, and myself. I woke myself up laughing.
The dream picked up when I finally got back to sleep, but it happened (usually with someone else blowing their lines) several times. There's a downside to this - I kept waking myself up all night. Add to this I got less that 4 hours of sleep, kept waking up, and I'm a sleep deprived completely off kilter mess. I'm going to be a little late (coming in in the afternoon) to the moviegasm since I'm going to need to sleep somewhere so I don't kill anyone (including myself) driving to Liberty Hill from San Marcos.
