It's a lyric by a Danielle Spencer song called "Jonathon White" but also a line I plan to use in this week's AWFW. It strikes me as a very "Brush with the Devil" song.

Hmn... I know I've heard it elsewhere, too. Not that wherever I heard it before (maybe somewhere amongst King, Gaiman, or DeLint) did not take it from the same source.
