Lately I've mentioned to a friend that one of my attitudes towards hurdles, goals, barriers and managing responsibilities is like how I used to bike up a great big hill. Don't try to look at how high and steep the mountain is...just look at your wheels and you'll cross that mountain if you can keep the road moving underneath them.

There is the other side to that. When you realize your tires are flat, the rims are bent, the axle is broken, and your's not just sliding backwards, but the bike is falling on you on the way down. It has happened. I am not perfect. I have failed at achieving my goals. Way too many times.

I guess all you can do is tend to the wounds, get the bike fixed, and then think about finding another mountain to bike up, even if you may never come back to this one.
