dolariIt's been awfuly quiet in Livejournalland from here. Mainly because I've gotten Twitter and Facebook, and I've settled on a kind of "content" for them.
Where Livejournal used to have all my thoughts all the time, Twitter is now taking the quick-thoughts and quick-notes of things that are fleeting in and out of my head all day or little mini-fast-blast-replies and whatnot.
Facebook has becomre more of an appointment calendar, or I will be here, or just left here, kinda updates.
Livejournal has pretty much been relegated to "Big Thoughts" and in the last few weeks I just simply haven't had the time for Big Thoughts. I also post things here I can't post anywhere else.
There hasn't been much going on recently, other than work and home. Emily has been visiting this last week, though. It's been a lot of fun, even though we're quite literally dirt poor. We're hopign to hit some of the more free things I've found the last few weeks on my trip. Kuboya Gardens and the greenhouse up near Volunteer Park. Maybe Jimi Hendrix's grave or Bruce Lee's.
Frankly, we could spend the whole weekend curled up in bed with her and it would be a good weekend.
I'm slowly acclimating to Seattle. Sometimes I get into a mindset that I'm still in Austin, and that I could run off to see friends. IT's always a little disheartening hen I realize I'm not.
It looks like our vacation this year (should I be able to get one) will be to State College, instead of Texas. There's no Trinoc this year (NJo Trinoc Ever Again, it seems) so my mid-summer is open again. It'd be nice to show Emily my old hometown.
So, that's really it. I haven't been very exciting recently. Work sucks out my will to be creative, buthaving Emily here makes it all better.
