After wrangling, throttleing and generally annoying the Keenspace admins to get me the password for my second Keenspace account, I gave up and applied for a THIRD. And today, I got it! Woo!
While A Wish for Wings is a very sweet and sad story about a girl who thinks she's an angel, Closetspace is a lot more...well...in TeeVee marketing terms, it's Wacky. Closetspace is the story of a boy who thinks he can impersonate a woman so well, that he moves in with one to prove it to himself. Add in an Interior Decorator with her own secrets, a flaming Drag Queen with a thing for Nell Carter, and a Dominatrix looking for love and you've got something that won't be airing on network television until the roll gets called up a-yonder. And not a hint of sex, if you can believe that.
As soon as I get the FTP space, the first few "history" episode will go up, mostly to make a buffer. I can get about five strips under my belt by posting old strips as a history, THEN get into the story itself.
Closetspace is also a LOT more musically oriented, which'll be hard to do in a comic. Alison and I worked on some music already...but she's much too busy trynig to stay in the US to do more. AndI don't blame her. Anyone else got any MOD/IT/S3M musical ability?
Better yet, any girls out there with a nice deep husky voice wanna sing as Carrie? Or high pitched guys? Either or would work. ;) Something along the line's of Cowboy Bebop's "Don't Bother None."
Finally a distraction from all this nothing-to-do-ness.
Anyone wanna draw any of my other comics? Anyone?
