One of my major failings in my life isd that it's hard for me to let anything go. I hold grudges forever. There are 1st and 2nd graders who treated me badly that I still ruminate about (Margie and Marguerite, you're out there somewhere, I know).
The criteria for what goes in and what is removed is, despite the careful phrasing, essentially arbitrary. I believe that there was an editorial group that saw the inclusion of web comics in the wiki as trivializing it. That's odd of course, considering the number of pages in there about TV shows. In any case they sought out likely candidates to remove, and unlike pages that get marked with a "GLBT Project" there was no protection for it.
Witness my own inclusion of the TDOR Web Comic Project. This was reviewed and someone even suggested that it was a hoax! Nowadays that page survives as a link on the main page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender_Day_of_Remembrance).
Speaking of which, even if there's nothing planned for the project this year, it might be an idea to send out emails to previous contributors reminding them of it. Even if there's no theme, I intend to do pages for it in my own web comics.
