Closetspace Updated - http://www.dolari.net/cs - Also, when doing photoshop effects in Illustrator, inDesign will change to CMYK, dammit. I ::HATE:: CMYK.
CYMK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CYMK) is mostly used for printing, so I can understand why Illustrator (mostly used for magazine illos and the like) would default to that. They may actually be a way of defaulting to RGB, as per this article (http://rwillustrator.blogspot.com/2009/01/cmyk-rgb-cant-we-all-just-get-along.html).
I already have Illustrator working in RGB. Turns out it REALLY hates transparency, such as glows or color effects. If I save them as BMPs, then InDesign is fine with it, but I lose a lot of the vector information.
