I don't know too much about California (other than Los Angeles has rose looking skies, and smells artificially like cherries), but the US 101 drive north out of Sacramento towards oregon looked BEAUTIFUL. OR so mom said, but I hear a lot of Kudos for it. NExt time you're there, take US 101 out, and go get lost in the redwoods. I plan to do it when I'm a little more financially stable. :)
Shame on Mister Alamo Man. :) Anyone who goes to San Antonio JUST for the Alamo deserves dissapointment. Yeah, it's tiny (more like a two story four car garage, thank you!), but there's the plaza in front, San Fernando Cathedral, the five missions, a world class Zoo, the haunted railroad tracks, the Farmer's MArket and so many other things to see. If you're going to San Anotnio JUST for the Alamo, then phooey on you. :)
