I've recently reconnected with a few friends from the old days who (1) knew I was planning on changing my sex and (2) only found out recently. A lot of them ask why. That's a beautiful sentiment there. It took me a long while to embrace my own gender because of some of the weaknesses Carrie mentioned and that comic sort of tugged at my heart.
