The cruelty of children never ceases to amaze me.

Yesterday, two cousins of mine fished the bettas out of their tank and cut them up with scissors.

For fun.

I like fish. I like fish a lot. For those of you who think fish are just simple 25 cent pets, to me, fish are the equivalent of cats or dogs or ferrets....

So imagine if two of your cousins decided to carve up your cat or dog with a knife. Two of them.

Then put him back in his dog house.

Yes, they weren't my fish. But I don't care - they're still living creatures who trust you with thier LIVES.

Bastards. I hopeI never see them again, or I might be tempted to use the scissors on THEM.

I dunno if they got punished or not. My mom, who gave me the news, mentioned they used her "good hair cutting scissors" so if she caught them, she prolly gave them a VERY GOOD what-for.

Heaven knows if I touched those scissors my head would be ripped off my neck and hung on a pike next to them, to warn future generations of using the "good hair cutting scissors."

Just jumping in with the comment that again, I'm sorry coz I do know how you feel about fish (really), and this is disturbing.
Still tempted to look up that quote about the seriousness of cruelty to animals by that former FBI behavioral guy... people have got
to stop just thinking, "Boys will be boys." Does it need to escalate to... aw, never mind. You know. It's not something to completely
ignore, that's all. And they did (except for the precious scissors...).

I totally understand that though. I didn't know how absolutely F-ed up my family was until I met Dana and he met the rest of my family. He was astonished and horrified at what he saw, and worked very hard to get me out of there. The man deserves a medal for what he did, wherever he is.

I been prayin' for ya. When I get a response, I'll letcha know.
