Concept sketch of "Agatha" the second in command of the Corporation in my Corporate World story and possible logo for the Corporation.

Actually, Agatha is the name she gave me back before I moved the story offworld. Zaecus gave me a great name to use, but I forgot it. (Little help here, Zaecus?) Agatha is the first character to really solidify in this story and her arc is pretty much the person who allows the shit to hit the fan. The basic gist of the story is "Who do you trust?" and when one person only trusts herself, allegiances and loyalty don't matter.

She's gonna screw something up majorly bad...but we both don't know if she'll survive the process.

Right now, though, I'm more concerned in making her appear a bit more elvish, and less human. This whole story takes place on a world where "something happened" to the natural order of things and an infrastructure was forced upon the native culture...and it worked. I'm going for flatter, wider faces, oriental eyes (Did you know Andrea has oriental blood in her? She's supposed to have almondy eyes, but I can never get that right) and non-standard hair-dos (Agatha can't decide if she wants those "sideburns" or braids).

Suggestions for a more elfin look? (No costume suggestions - they will most likely wear something akin to our 1930s and 1940s fashions).

So far, she's the only real character to reall solidify other than Bill, although Bill has yet to decide on an appearance.

the corporation logo harkens back to something...more primal. We've already seen it in Closetspace, if you can believe that. :)

Upcoming project is to inally make model and character sheets for ALL my characters...I've already started with four of the twelve angels from AWFW.

My birthday is Friday - this is a not so subtle hint:

I think, perhaps, both. (Just to make your life complicated of course. ;-) Split them and bring the braids back alongside her head into the ponytail. However, the 'sideburns' should be a bit longer, IMO.

Suggestions for a more elfin look?

Wow, which kind of elf. ;-) The one thing I can think of that isn't physically accurate as much as it is accurate for the impression they gave, is that their eyes should look longer than normal. Go farther to the sides kinda, and be slanted a bit, of course.

And this might seem a bit odd, but I can't get over the idea that the top of her head is too round. ::ponders that:: uh... and I'm not saying it should be pointed. :-'

I think I'll go away now. Well, after I say Have a happy birthday (since you might read this by then).

You might want to consider modifying her hairstyle to include what I refer to as the "elvish hairline." I've noticed that elves tend to have very high foreheads, with almost exaggeratedly pronounced widows' peaks. Check out Hugo Weaving as Elrond for a perfect example.

Happy birthday. :)

I did that on purpose...I'm trying to go for a more alien look, versus a True Elvish look. Considering that Bill has a long face, I want everyone to have a round face...to contrast. I'll take the widow's peak thing into consideration, though. Maybe Agatha has one under her bangs? :)

I remember that, too, but considering those are bangs, I'm gonna pretend her widow's peak is hidden under there. However, i'm gonna keep that in mind once I start drawing other characters.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I may do the braid thing...maybe go creative and use the braids as the ponytail holder? I'm all for that. :)

That sounds neat. I always think of elves as having hairstyles that are either very complicated or very simple, but the simple ones tend to defy the laws of physics more for some reason. ;-)
