THURSDAY
On retrospect, it was a pretty stupid thing to do. Sometimes I'm not incredibly sane, and I've purposely downplayed what I did for the sake of not getting thwapped upside the head by Erin or Andy.

I went for a bike ride. I woke up, didn't eat anything (thinking this would make me sicker than a dog, and left.

Mistake #1 - Don't ever forget to put water in your water bottle. I made to Webberville Park, some 3.2 miles away on the bike. No problem. I was parched and a bit tired, but not wheezingly dying exhausted. Put some water in my water bottle and enjoyed the park a bit. I turned around and took off.

Mistake #2 - Don't ever stop in the middle of a ride. I turned around to head back to the homestead...made about a half mile, before I had to stop again and rest. I wasn't even out of the park before I just laid down in the grass and rested. I made it out of the park, but not up the hill to FM 969. I walked up to the road bed. I got on the road home and biked up again. I made it about halfway home before I had to stop again...this tie I wasn't feeling to hot. Actually, I was hot, and that was the problem.

Mistake #3 - NEVER buy a Black Water Bottle. I opened the water bottle and took a drink...and it was HOT. This was NOT good. Without cool water I wouldn't be much use the rest of the way. There was a HUGE hill ahead of me, too, between here and home. I made it up halfway, before I had to stop and lie down and rest. Now I was tired, and panting badly. The water was not cooling me off, and if anything was making me sicker. I poured it on myself, went a bit farther up the hill before I stopped again - it was not good. I lied down.

Mistake #4 - ALwasy look where you're gonna lie down, cause I lied down in a patch of bull nettle. This is a plant that STINGS to the touch. My right arm was on fire SECONDS after I lied down. Dammit, that hurt. I finally made it up the hill and began to go downhill. I pedaled till my legs burned to gain speed, and braked at the bottom of the hill, losing all my momentum. I vomited a few times, thankfully only spewing up water. HEre I Was less that a quarter mile from home, and I was in trouble. I started walking towards the house, and heaved a few more times. A car passed me, and I thumbed a ride...she passed me right up. Second truck picked me up. Thank heavens for that. He drove me the last few yards to the house.

I took a VERY cold shower after that to cool off, and felt better in an hour.

And that's why Jenn can be a very stupid person. I'm no spring chicken anymore...and while I can prolly do the 6.2 mile round trip again, I really shouldn't do it...FOR THE FRIST TIME IN ALMOST A YEAR.

The rest of the day was uneventful.

FRIDAY

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY

But it was pretty blase...I don't like making a big deal out of my birthday anymore (AKA the 28th Annual Third National Jenn Day)

SATURDAY
Woke up, got paid,a and took off for downtown Austin.. My plan - dinner and a movie! On the trip there, I went looking for Mud City...I found DUnlap, but not Mud City. Still not sure if they're one and the same or two different cities at this rate. Once in town, I decided...well...let's get some eats. What do I want...and I Thought about Chinese, or Indian, or Thai..and I realized - Popeye's Fried Chicken. THAT'S what I want. Popeye's fried chicken. I had a nice meal of spicy fried chicken and beans'n'rice.

Then I headed back to the Snow cone place we went a few days ago and I had a chocolate hazelnut snow cone. Most happiness!

So I went to take off and see Austin Powers...but..well...my stomach began acting a little funny, when I entered the Stone Lake Tessaract. This movie theater is NEVER in the same place twice. Either the roads move, or the movie theater decides to be elsewhere...but I can never find it. But when I finally do, my stomach tells me it's gonna play ping-pong with my kidneys, and that perhaps it would be best to just head back home.

I think the wonderful stress of Thursday was messing my stomach up (I went through something like that Friday night, too, after dinner)...

However, I hit the Suncoast on the way home, using a card that Marca gave me for my birthday and picked up a box set of Robotech DVDs. Now to just pick up #4 and #5 and I'll have the whole set. YAY!

What a (few) day(s)!
