What brings this on?

Well....

I've just gone completely Zen on American McGee's Alice.

I've always loved Alice in Wonderland. I like the complete absurdity of Wonderland and the smarter-than-you-know innocence that Alice had. Thing is, it's always just been a cute thing.

Now give Alice a knife. But KEEP all the quirks she had in the book. And give her raven hair. And leather knee boots.

I likes this. I likes this a lot. I'm willing to defy the "platform" stages we have, I'm willing to defy the painfully slow rendering I get from my computer, I'm willing to defy the network connection that makes loading levels a five minute chore, I'm willing to defy stuttering sound to play this magical piece of software.

Tuesday

I R0X0RS THE HOUSE. I did a LOT yesterday....I cleaned house, I made dinner, and I wrestled not one, not two, but THREE computers into submission.

We rebuilt the Frankenstein machine (Affectionate called (well, only by me) Frankenstein Junior), and it is now running my old Pentium 200 Motherboard and is the house Internet Connection again. I messed up Prime (which is the Super Duper PEntium 4 of Power (Affectionately called Optimus Prime by the locals), but fixed it with very minimal problems. My computer had another FDisk Format Reinstall, and it (affectionately known as Tomato) has 64MB of Ram installed.

All is well with the world, and Suzanne Vega rocks.

Wednesday

Marca said that I had called the day off due to crankiness, and that rankled me. It was more of a "The World is Out to Get You" day...so I called it off. Literally.

Nothing happened today. No need to relive events that only raise my blood pressure.

Starting Monday, I'm in charge of the Kidlet. This means 8AM mornings. This means short nights. This means dealing with the public when the kiddo wants to go out.

This will be hell. But only three weeks worth of it.

I suggest starting a pot: When will Jenn crack? My money is on day 7.

There is movement on the AWFW front. This makes me happy.

Anyone who has the Robotech Soundtrack, pop in Disc 1, Track #20. The first half of this song is beautiful.....

Ordered two books from Amazon, and Box Set #4 of Robotech. This weekend, I plan to pick up a skirt I saw at (blech) Wal Mart.
