Well, I got my first "outside" commission. Design a new banner for www.us-highways.com. Here's the one I came up with:

This is, of course, a quick sketch.

It's also my first animated scene. Her hair will be blowing in the wind, and a car will drive down the road. Woo!

Also, I've been working on yet ANOTHER story, this time after seeing a special on the Mayans. At the beginning of the Polychronicon we are treated to an "Indian Story." The nly thing pinned down is that the very first episode takes place August 13th, 3113 BC (The beginning of the Mayan Calendar). I've kinda hinted that it's somewhere in South America, kinda hinted that they were the precursors to the Olmecs and so on...

Well, now, instead of going up to a Machu Pichu type plateau, it's more of a Pilot Knob plateau (Several hundred feet in the air, not MILES up). We won't see any building of pyramids or anything like that as in the original. They're basically gonna hollow out the plateau. And we'll get to see an explosion the likes of which won't be seen again until WW2.

I'm also moving it MUCH farther north, and they're not the precursor to anyone anymore.

I like the way this story is going. :) A lot.

I'm noticing a trend, now. If I don't meditate, the day after is very very bad. If I DO meditate, the day after tends to be good. If I'm able to mediitate and not completely be wrnched out of it by interrupting individuals who simlpy must be the center of attentiona t all times, the day after tends to be a VERY good one.

I haven't worked in eight months, Dad hasn't worked in a month. Mom is prolly going to lose her social security. Things are beginning to look very bad around here.

Today is on hold.

The moment I put pencil to paper I was interrupted.

An hour later, the moment I touched pencil to paper I was interrupted again.

So, to keep my frustration level down, today has been cancelled.

The recent Tarot Card quiz running around (I'm the Wheel of Fortune) had me wondering if I still had that old "Taboo" tarot card reading NES game. Turns out I did! So...considering I have a few questions...I asked. And I got back some confusing gibberish, mainly because I'm sure the descriptions are a lot of pulling words from column A, column B and C, and sticking them together to form an interpretation.

Can you interpret Tarot Cards better than Japanese Nintendo Programmers with bad English skills?

Then read on! )
