Today was a good day.

Today made me a happy Jenn.

Despite some false starts.

Dad felt he needed to scold me for having a $60 oustanding debt. It got paid, right? Mind you, the only reason I didn't pay it before was...oh, I don't know...I DIDN'T HAVE THE CASH. And it's not like you, Mister Declared Bankruptcy Twice, have any room to scold. You maaged to buy a 4x4 right after bankruptcy. Once $60 debt inst' going to compeltely ruin my credit rating so bad tha tI'll be living on the street in a cardboard box.

Paid it off. Went to grab some Popeye's Fried Chicken. Sorry, Mom, you're carne picada is good, but it's the same stuff we have every day - I need variety. I weeded out my Big Pile of Papers and got rid of a LOT of junk. Mostly Dell paperwork. I did find out that I have three more Swan echnology folders! WOO! I thought I lost my last one at Dell. Swan was the only ob I ever had where I truly felt loved. :) Really. Deep down in my heart, Swan Technologies will live forever.

Afterwards, I began to sit down and figure out what to draw for Episode 9 of AWFW. I'm also getting perilously close to the end of the "Origin" story, and now have to start work towards guiding our characters towards teh end of the Young Andrea story, as well as the over all story. One of the main drives, I think, on Young Andrea is to try and find her place in life. And then once she finds it, how to kep it from the people who can take it away from her. I think, basically, it boills down to things that kids lack: subtlety. I think I need to focus on how she learns her rights from wrongs, and really build this relationship with her mother, whom she loves, but has to keep a secret from her.

I have my work laid out for me....

Andrea's world is about finding her identity. Going from Child to Angel.

Lise's world is about losing her daughter's dependence. Going from Mother to Parent.

Roger's world is about awakening friendships with Andrea, and his own burgeoning identity. Going from Child to Boyhood.

The theme is companionship won and lost and growth.

There will be several scenes of Lise sitting at her table. The first few will be funny, maybe even gagish. The last will be very sad.

Leave them alone for just a minute, and they surprise you....
