I like to go to bed at 5AM. It's a good time - you get up in the early afternoon...have all the evening to yoruself.

So what does Jenn do?

She gets tired of not being able to send her resume out as a fax because her faxmodem sucks (resulting in a HUGE number of missed opportunities). So she decides to wrestle it into submission at 4:45 AM.

Strangely enough, about 4:45 she easily fixes the problem. For some reason Microsoft FAX hates my modem being on COM1, where it normally sits very comfy. I forced itonto COM2 and it worked! WOOWEE!

The remaining hour was spent trying to convice Microsoft Fax to not only NOT send multiple copies of my resume out, but to even get "permission" from it to remove all the duplicates it decided to make. I ended up having to uninstall MS FAX, let Windows Messaging fail to find a way to deliver the faxes, clean out the spool directory, reinstall MS Fax. Only to find that the multiple faxes were back and ready to send NINE MORE COPIES to the same phone number.

So I unplugged the phone, and listened as each fax failed to send out. That FINALLY cleared the queue out.

So Jenn gets smart. If she tells MS FAX to deliver everything at midnight...then maybe I can queue up all the faxes I need to send out, and hit the DELIVER NOW button.

So I do it.

And I click DELIVER NOW. MS FAX pops up and says, "GREAT! YOU HAVE A FAX! I think I'll deliver it at Midnight. Goodnight."

I easily deleted the faxes, no problem. Except for the first. It seems that MS FAX will spool the first one and lock it. So I spent a very long time starting Windows MEssaging, and trying to kill the MAPI DLL it uses to unspool the fax and delete it. IT takes MANY tries.

However, 15 minutes ago, I managed to spew out four resumes via fax. And now I will go to bed with a happy smile on my face until I find out it sent out sheets of paper that said "This user wants to send a fax out now...but I'm going to wait until Midnight and send them when she's not looking."

Very tired - got Chun Li back from Erin's. I am a happy gal.

Big hug for the man who sent the $50.

Alms for the poor.

Remember that EEOC thing? Where they told me IWasTheWeakestLinkGoodbye?

Well...

OSHA called. They're still working on case, but they got a call from the EEOC. They want me to file a complaint directly with them. I told the OSHA case worker I had already filed with EEOC in Austin who said I had no case. She told me that was the STATE Branch of EEOC, not Federal Branch.

So the FEDS are VERY interested in my case. VERY VERY VERY interested. To the point where the OSHA worker told me not to mention I have a case with OSHA to avoid stepping on each others toes.

WOW.

Now when it comes to the feds - the only point in discrimination is "How long I've been female." Is it sporadic? Full time? Every other day? Only at home? Only at work?

I'm not only fulltime, baby, I've been on hormones, I've had a psychiatrist gimmie a Big Thumbs Up.

So.

Tomorrow I hit San Antonio to file the Federal Complaint. WOO WEE!
