One thing about installing the actual ICQ program, instead of the Trillian versions that was very unhappy with my TV card, is that now, people know you're online. And lo, I was bombarded with every Tom, Dick and Harry (and I mean Dick) asking me if I was single.

New rule: Ask if I'm single and you get an automatic block. This goes on top of the ICQ rules I instituted in 1995: Ask what I'm wearing, and you're blocked. Ask how big my boobs are, and you're blocked. Ask me if I'm into anything, and you're blocked.

My god, people, ICQ isn't a sex market.

However, out of all the blocking, I did meet a young TS in San Antonio who liked my comic, and is coming up for a job fair tomorrow. We'll have a soda at a Jim's.

My bank account is draining quickly (Another $200 for pills).

I finally got permission to do the storyline I wanted fr Closetspace. I like this storyline better than my original because the character was going down a particular path because she didn't like what she had to call on in the present. This way, she goes down the same path, because of a hatred of something she's done. Makes a LOT more sense, and the ending is now not nearly as much of a stretch as it originall was.

Plus, those people I told the story to a LONG LONG time ago will have something new to look forward to. :)

I forgot to mention, I picked up one of the "new" Legend of Zelda VHS tapes, knowing full well they weren't new at all. They're episodes of the LEgend of Zelda cartoon that were sandwhiched in between pretty silly live-action bumpers of Mario and Luigi.

Nice thing is to finally see them in broadcast quality. The versions I got from spirityouko years ago were nth generation copies. However, the new tape was missing the live action bumpers...which I have archived for all eternity.

You should get these videos, too. Not because the cartoons are good...but because they used the Super Mario Bothers closing credits...in which a very well paid Captain Lou Albano dances around in a Super Mario costume:

So I'm trying desperately to find out what the heck is wrong with my TV card, which has crapped out YET AGAIN. SO I use the online ATI Customer Care applet:

Based on the problem description you entered, we recommend you reference the following articles to help resolve your issue.
Problem Description:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e31'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired

/csrequestDoSearchFunction.inc, line 220

Seeing as their Customer Care site doesn't work, either...anyone got any good suggestions for (A) An ATI-TV-Wonder compatible player or (2) reccomending a good TV Card?

So guess what. I can't sleep. And when I'm about to get sleepy, it's FDISK/REINSTALL time.

I really hope things are better when I wake up.
