I hate my job. A lot. Just in case you didn't get it the first time.

In other news, I finally had a nice long realtime chat with Erin Lindsey of Venus Envy fame, thanks to Elizabeth Troub of From Then on North.

A good time was had by all, and it seems I'll be rooming with her at the Trinoc convention. ROCK.

Not much to say on my end. I'm finally semi-well. I'm no longer sick, but I'm annoyed that this cough won't go away. Or my job. Did I mention my job? :)

Thankfully the 16 hours of overimte over the next two weeks will more than likely pay for a laptop. Hope I cna get a good one off EBay.

One thing I do have to admit about work, though, is how nice everyone is. The same kinda "shellshocked" syndrome I saw at Kinko's happens here, where everyone is ultra nice to each other because we can't afford to not be nice.

One girl complimented me on my dress (one of my fave dresses), two others wanted me to know that they hoped I was feeling better from the other day. They really DO go out of their way to make you feel good. Even the executive-types have time to talk to you, and even know your name.

The schedules may be shit, but they're served with a smile. And EVERYONE is working nasty hours, not just me, not just the techs, but the executive types, too.

This week is fucking pissing me off.

Not only do I get sick, not only do they take my weekend away from me, not only am I scheduled for copous amounts of vertime, but a fucking woodchipper was parked outside my window, waking me up every five minutes for hours. I got about four hours of sleep.

Woodchippers should fucking be ILLEGAL in residential areas. Sounds like a damned car wreck.

This is gonna be a bad week....
