I woke up much too early from a bad sleep. I heard the UPS truck drive up, so I lied in bed waiting for the knock on the door. It never came. I heard the guy walk up my stairway, then walk right back down. When I opened the door, there was a "delivery attempted" sticker on my door and a very embarrassed delivery guy looking at me.

It's STILL not the MREs I ordered last week. I'm getting a bit antsy about the delivery (no tracking number provided :P ) but they should be here Thursday, I'm hoping.

My truck was ready so I walked to the mechanic (he offers free rides! I didnt know that!) who showed me all the rigamarole he did to fix the truck. About five years ago, The blinker stick, which controls the wipers and bright lights, broke. My dad said he'd fix it (::SIRENS BLARE::) and got someone to do a half-assed job of it. Everything worked on it, but the stick it self was VERY loose, and to go from regular lights to brights, you had to really pull back on the stick.

Well, the stick broke again about a month ago...but everything still worked if you just "plugged" the stick in. What the mechanic had told me was that the switch going from regular lights to bright had worn out from all that pulling and was now stuck between lights and brights. Which is off.

It's all working now. The stick is really in there tightly, pulling back for the bright lights actually goes CLICK without any real pulling, and the wipers....well...we'll find out when I buy a new 25A fuse. :)

YEs, I've said Stick and Yank 20 times. Stop laughing.

I ran off to the PO Box while I could and got all my mail. I got a gift from Nathan (rock) a set of skin creams Dean had ordered and...an extra copy of Robotech Invasion for the PS2. I didn't order that. I ordered ONE, yeah...but not two. Anyone want a copy?

Many thanks to everyone who helped donate some cash for the upcoming budget crunch. I owe you big. I'll write ya'll a nice Email in the morning. :)

I woke up to a call from the mechanics and the almost complete inability to open my eyes. The truck wasn't ready, but it was going to be $350. A part they needed was on order and would be ready to go on Wednesday. I could barely breathe, and my eyes were swollen. I called into work for the day off sick, and got it.

There really wasnt much more to the day...I napped on and off all day recuperating. I fell asleep watching Raw and had one of my "I'm a wrestler" dreams. I'm always a women's wrestler called in at the last minute to cover for someone who was sick. However, in this case, thanks to my previous dreams, it wasn't just "send her out there to get squashed and eat time on RAW" but I was allowed to WIN this one! Who knows, I might even get a dream-world feud with Lita! :)

Monday was errands day. My plans: Go get Toprol meds. Go get PO Box mail. Go get Indonesian Ramen. Go asian grocery shopping. Go regualr grocery shopping.

I managed the first one.

First sing that womething was wrong was people flashing their lights at me. Then I noticed in the reflection on the car in front of me that my lights weren't on, and weren't coming on. It was already 5PM and getting dark, so I ran off from my pharmacist to the PO Box, but by the time I got there it was getting VERY dark. I passed on the PO Box and ran back home.

My skin is softening up again. I forgot how nice that feels. :)

I don't care WHAT happens. I'm not losing hormones again.

I'm feeling 75% better today. And since the thought of food didn't leave me queasy....

MRE #1: Cajun Sausage, Red Beans and Rice. Raspberry applesauce. Wheat bread with grape jelly. Pumpkin poundcake. Orange kool-aid. Dehydrated coffee with creamer. (And, of course, salt, pepper, napkin, wet wipe, and A Spoon)

First off, they're much bigger than I originally thought., The pictures I saw made them look like each meal is about the size of VHS cassette, but they're actually about as long as a shoebox and half as high. I heated the red beans and rice in the oven in it's package for a few minutes and made the orange drink as per instructions on the packet, and ended up with an extremely overpowered drink. Had to dilute it even more to get it to taste right.

The redbeans and rice were EXCELLENT. Not gourmet quality but definately not cold Chef Boyardee level mediocre food. I'm not a big fan of applesauce but I'd never had raspberry applesauce. That's some tasty stuff.

The wheatbread wasn't what I was expecting, though. It was more of a dough-patty. If you help it one way, it looked like a slice of bread, but turn it upside down and it's an ass. I guess that's how you tell in the world of Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell. It wasn't really just bread, but more of a sweet shortbread. I added grape jelly to it before I tasted it, so I ended up with almost a dessert rather than a slice of bread.

The pumpkin poundcake was given to Dean (I'm not a fan of pumpkin) and the powdered coffee/creamer will be saved for anyone who drinks coffee (we don't).

In all, it's not bad, very filling (Yes, I said earlier I hardly feel full, but I do feel downright HEAVIER) and keeps forever. It does have about 1200 calories a meal, which is a tad high, but again, it's not an everyday meal. Just a "I forgot" meal. 12 meals, 6 types, so 5 are now at home and 6 in the back of my pickup.

Anyone want 12 cups of powdered coffee? :)
