AWFW Mini review - http://sharonandjake.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2714: A Wish for Wings. Otherkin fantasy. Well written, if the art is a bit confusing at times.

::shrugs:: Yeah, even I admit my art style can be a bit primitive. I prefer writing. I've often called my art style "Blunt Force Talent." I've never really considered myself an artist, but I've always wanted to write for visual mediums, like TV or Comics. It was easier (loads easier) to get into comics than TV, but I really couldn't draw. So I basically stole the Robotech/80s Anime artstyle as my own, and traced and copied and traced and copied and traced and copied till I didn't need to trace or copy it. If I had my druthers, i'd still be writing for other artists.

I'm rather proud of my style now though. It's still a bit rough around the edges, and I can fall into the talking heads trap, but I think I've moved slightly away from the Robotech look, and into my own morphed-style....

More things to write about later:

New drawing process is fast.
What is it with the Young Ones coincidences today?

Had a brain storm for AWFW...and if I knew I was going to have it I would have declared the first half of AWFW over NEXT year instead of a few months ago. I ended on a pretty big beat back then, but the beat I just came up with would have been a better one.

It'll also prolly be my first "Twin Peaks" and "Galactica 2005" reference in the series, (among the thousand or so Galactica 1977 references). Those of you who saw the Baltar thingy at the end of Episode #13 will know what I'm talking about...

I've also decided that Andrea's final angel form will be her 17 year old body. It was the nicest to draw....
