Month in Review: Emily

Of course, it hasn't been all bad at all. Today marks Emily and My First Month Anniversary. It was a month ago today that I told her I loved her with the awkward phrase "Well...um...you're #9."

There were a few eggshell days immediately afterwards, where I didn't know if she loved me back. That whole "expectation" of finding out if she felt the same way for me. It took Emily a few days to decide for herself, but the answer was "Yes."

In that week I've learned so much more about her than the last year I've talked with her. She's seen me at my best, and at my worst, and been there for me. I've celebrated her victories, and dressed her wounds as well. She know my secrets, and I know hers. We've shared music, pictures, words, ideas and as much of our souls as AscII and Telephone conversations will allow.

She is an amazing person. Even if I hadn't fallen in love with her, I would have been very proud to call her my friend. Thankfully I did, and I'm very proud to call her my girlfriend. :)

Day in Review :)

I did EXACTLY what I planned to at the hotel room. I didn't go to bed till I was tired (1PM) and slept until I couldn't sleep anymore (9PM). All this morning I worked on the "week long project" which you will see as soon as I can get the pictures off my computer. It was a bitch to do. :)

I woke up this evening after a WONDERFUL sleep (you know it's a good sleep when you wake up and your muscles stretch, creak and crack), and spent the evening celebrating our anniversary with Emily and just unwinding.

A good day.... :)

I need to do this more often...maybe go out two or three times a year and just have a day where I can lock myself into a hotel room and unspool, reload and recharge.

Wow. Solitude has it's perks. Everything is pencilled. Took me all of three hours. Although I'm using an old method, putting all the strips on one page. There's a loss of detail, but it's faster to draw, and, to be honest, these things get so squinched down, I lose all the nice detail anyway.

Sleep, then a quick run home for scanning.
