Looks like I got recruited to be Assistant Comic-Chair-Coordinator-Something-or-Other. It's no laughing matter, from what I can tell. After being asked to spread the word about Trinoc being a Trans-friendly Con We Can All Go To, I hit Gwen for some help.
After very little discussion, and several apologies (I really hate "Cashing In" on a friend's livelyhood), Gwen agreed to help out by passing out a press release type dealy I'll be writing up. ERIN! Any chance I could hit you up to seed these out at an upcoming TACT meeting? Maybe begin trying to spread the word from there as well as through Gwen?
On top of that, I've been asked to coordinate with Jessica Silverstone for the "How to draw Manga characters" and figure out what is needed and a scehdule for the workshop. I'll prolly need to do the same with my WEb Comics QA Panel.
Beyond that, work goes slowly on the Trinoc Strip, I've got 2 of the 5 panels done, with one being worked on at work, three posters to print, four sketches to make pretty and sell and...wasn't this supposed to be a vacation?
After work, I put some gas in the truck, and pulled the old bike out of the bed. I really wanted to ride it last week, but the tires were flat, and I've LONG since lost my hand pump for it. I went to a local gas station, and aired those tires to within an inch of their lives. This weekend - BIKE RIDING! DAMMIT!
I hit the PO box, and lo and behold, what did I find in there?
8 Coffee Crisp bars as sent by Mark after one of his many trips to Canada! These are the same bars, but the wrapper graphics are different (and are in French and English, where mine are all in English). Plus this is a just a wierd assembly...4 bars in their own wrappers. MUCH nicer than having a box of 24 sitting in the freezer. THANK YOU, MARK! I owe you a sketch. :)
And now to bed...NOTE TO JENN: DROP OFF PO BOX MONEY AT THE POST OFFICE! IT'S DUE TOMORROW!
