There's been some unfortunate fallout from me quitting Trinoc. Very unfortunate.
Unfortunately, when I quit my job, I had budgeted Trinoc into my plans, those plans included a free room. Now with me NOT going to Trinoc, that room is gone. I'd hoped I'd have money to stay in Raleigh, but no matter what I did, the money for 5 days at even a cheap motel was just out of my range. Food was budgeted, but taxis and/or a rental car wasn't. In all, it just boiled down a lack of money. No money, no hotel room. Even if we ate MREs, locked the door and never walked out into the sun, I still couldn't afford it.
I've asked Emily to cancel her tickets. they're non refundable and non transferrable. $300 down the drain because of bullshit.
I've changed my own itinerary to go straight home from Baltimore. Southwest will not refund my remaining cash. $75 down the drain because of bullshit.
I've spent most of the night either frustrated over trying ANYTHING to stay in Raleigh to crying over the facts that I'll not see her.
It's funny how the thign that changed my life last year has become the thing I most hate about this year.
