Comics updated...sorta. CS. Or HERE if the feed isn't up.
This move is getting...wierd. This morning, the natural gas was turned on and when I came in wuth nearly the entire Living Room in the back of my truck, there was a very faint smell of gas. VERY VERY faint. When I walked in, I'd turned on the light, and the house didn't explode, so I thought it was an issue of a left over smell from when they turned the gas on. I turned on the gas stove's burners and after a few minutes, the smell went away.
I went to a TACT meeting to drop off the DOR DVDs I'd made. I always feel awkward going to those things, depsite this only being my second meeting...I don't do commitees or groups or councils or anything. They do good work, yes, but group work isnt' my bag. Most group efforts usually devolve into ego fights, title wrangling or deliberate sabotage and forget what they were created to do.::cough::BoultonAndPark:cough::Trinoc2005::cough::
TACT doesn't do that - but still, all my previous experiences kinda color this one. I'd rather not get involved with the group, but if I can help on an individual basis, I'd be happy to. I've already made note that if they want anything from my Webcomics DOR Project, they're welcome to it (creator permission pending, of course).
After a fine dinner with seceral of the TACT folks, I came home to find the new house smelling of gas again. This was Not Good. We called up the Gas Company who sent someone out to Check Things Out. At first they couldn't find anything, but eventually, the meter showed a leak, and it was narrowed down to the furnace. Gas was cut off to it, so no heater in the middle of winter, but the stove and water (Well, not the bathwater) work.
Of all the utilities to be turned on the only one not to hit a snag is the cable, which seems to work, despite the fact that we didn't ask them to turn it on.
I've moved most of my stuff to the new house, and this'll be my first night here. The connection to the neighbor's wireless hasn't dropped once, so I think the computer will stay at the old apartment until it's time to vacate - we'll have tunes and TV till we leave for good.
Oh, by the way, Hi, Cristina! Thanks for reading the comics. :)
