Mar. 1st, 2007 01:50 pmI spent most of the day fretting that Emily would get stuck either in Seattle, or in Phoenix.
While I knew I had friends in Seattle I could count on if she got stranded there, I wasn't so sure about Phoenix. I knew some people there who could take care of her, but I couldn't remember if they were in Phoenix or Tucson, or if they'd be at work at the same time Emily would have been bumped off.
Thankfully, it didn't happen, and as her plane made it's way to Austin, so did I. I decided to try a different route, seeing as the Airport is actually some ways from Austin, and I found a nice little rural route there, that was still almost 100% direct to the airport and (strangely enough) turned out to be faster than the freeway.
On the way back, we had a bit of an adventure looking for either a Whataburger or Taco Cabana...first by confusing Oltorf and William Cannon, and then generally just getting lost getting around. We did finally make it to a Taco Cabana....that over looked a Whataburger.
We spent the niught catching up, showing pictures to each other, and now, we're here. I'm at work, she's prolly biking around town after fixing my bike (yay!). It's a good day at the Dolari household.
