I had a very large post about this last weekend that LJ ate unceremoniously. I'll rewrite it on the plane using the phone. In the meantime, those of you who would like to track my flight AS I'M ON IT can check out the link here:

I leave at 6:45AM which is when the tracking kicks in. :)

Boo - just as I finally get to sleep, the alarm goes off.

Worrisome - I have $350 even for this trip. $550 if we include the credit card.

Update - I forgot I don't need a hotel in Victoria, which frees up about $200. $550/750 is MUCH more comfortable.

I love my Sidekick. Internet from the plane!

I'm sitting in the plane at the gate at Phoenix, waiting for new passengers to board. The flight was not nearly as eventful as the first time I flew in (the turbulence was so bad on that flight, I swear I saw my soda hanging in midair with my cuop three inches beflow during a downdraft).

That isn't to say it wasn't totally uneventful. I've flown prolly hundreds of flights thanks to family working for Southwest. I've never had a pilot make a sharp right turn, rolling the plane WELL over 45 degrees and decelerate at the same time. It felt like we were on an aerial version of Dead Man's Curve.

Phoenix looks funky in the air.Gigantic blocks of sand, green blocks of farming, and houses right up to the desert. Very Sim City.

I swear Nancy Cartwright is sitting about two rows in front of me.

Next stop - Seattle.

In Seattle, still waiting to deplane. Mount Rainier is so damned cool looking from the air....

And after two and a half hours...I think she's actually Tina Yothers.

I was quoted a charge of $387.30 for a rental car. I budgeted 400 for it. When I picked up the car, they gave me the $387 price.

However.

After mandatory insurance, sales tax, recovery fee, rental car tax, CFC emissions charge, AND a $250 dollar deposit for using a debit card, I paid $810 for a car.

I have a total of $109 to last me this week. $309 if I dip into the credit card. $44 dollars a day. I can do this, but I think were going to have a very skimpy vacation.

::goes to get some bread and water::

Update - emergency parent loan approved....

I pick up Emily in an hour, then go eat Pho with Erin, then the Simpsons movie.

I've also been awake 26 hours. I'm running on a crackload of Coca Cola and a few oatmeal raisin bars.

Seeing Emily again will be lovely. I hope I remember it. Why are all these spiders crawling all over me? Excuse me, Mr. Einstien needs the bathroom.
