The farthest north I've ever been is now North Vancouver, BC, near Grouse Mountain (Beating out the previous holder, the Minneapolis airport by a good number of miles).

The farthest west I've been is Langford, BC, (possible closer to Sooke, but I'm not sure - previously it was Los Angeles, CA).

The farthest south has been (and still is) Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

The farthest east is somewhere in Baltimore, MD, more than likely [livejournal.com profile] nathan_r and [livejournal.com profile] chrysalis's place. Or the Lycoming Valley Mall in Pennsylvania - both are VERY close Easterly.

Pink Floyd's "Echoes" synched to the final part of 2001: A Space Odyssey

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

For some reason, I've always found this part of the movie very very sad. From the very beginning of the lonely ship ejecting the one pod, to the old man dying in front of the monolith.

For some OTHER reason, the eating scene in Part 3 creeps me out, and is the major reason I never show a character eating in my comics. You'll see them at tables, and holding utensils, but never actually eating.

That ending still creeps me out and saddens me....
