I finally made it into austin to check my PO Box. And its Christmas in October.
As I was walking to the Post office, a breeze blew by and suddenly it was summer in Pennsylvania. I forgot how cool PA was in the summer compared to Texas.
Once in, two major things were waiting for me. A letter and a package (that I'd tried to get last week).
The package was from Aspasia - a belated birthday present (your birthday isn't over till you get your last present). In it was "The Art of Robotech The Shadow Chronicles" which is a book I've been wanting (I have two of the other three books) and a Firefly boxset. I've never seen Firefly. I've been told I should. And now I have no excuse. You guys are PERSISTENT! :)
Also, my bankmade the mistake of sent me a credit card, as I asked. And my god - they gave me a $2000 credit line!!! I make that in a whole month! So as of now I have $1000 in cash for the trip to Seattle, and $2400 in credit if I need it. Holy cow...now to be responsible and keep the cards paid off (with an exception of every third month). Once I get to Seattle, ill kill the lower credit low end card and keep the one from my bank.
Man they want you in debt quick - the card came with a blank check saying "Get yourself a little something" and in small print (against your credit line).
Cheeky monkeys....
