Remember when I said we might see an angel with crystal wings?

More than likely, she'll look like this:

What is it about my hair that makes random girls reach up to it and start playing with the ringlets?

AND WHERE WERE YOU IN HIGHSCHOOL?!?! :D

Sorry I haven't actually been writing about anything IN my life recently. It's been pretty dead - wake up, go to work, go to bed, wake up, talk to emily, go to bed, go to work, go to bed, rob a bank, talk to Emily....

One thing that's gone way downhill with this shift sleeping is just Going Out an Doing Anything. On my days off, I stay at home and draw comics that I haven't drawn over the weekdays because I've been asleep. With the 6 day work week, that's been keeping from even THAT.

So there hasn't been much to say, really. Just posts about whatever has caught my fancy for that day (That last post about American/Canadian History, and the one before that about the cartoons are a good example).

Yesterday, though, I got an invite from an old old old friend, [livejournal.com profile] hurricane_amy, to come down and nosh on some barbecue and visit with her family. I hadn't seen any of them in over 15 years (almost 20 in her mom's case). And it was a blast. Kim, Amy's sister, gave me a hug that lasted at least two hours, and her mom's hug was just as long.

I hadn't had a good barbecue in a long time, and this was a GOOOOOD barbecue. We visited, I got show Amy's nieces that you CAN draw comics if you put your mind to it (one kept complaining she could only copy, and I told her that's how I got my start). People played with my hair, we played a lot of Rock Band (If I hear another round of Blitzkrieg Bop, I'm gonna puke), and when I left, I'd had a damned good time and reaquainted myself with some very old good friends.

I'm hoping to see them again this summer when I go through san Francisco my way to Seattle. :)

A Wish for Wings is now officially on hiatus.

I hate having to do this, but I simply can't work two comics on a 6 day workweek with almost no sleep. I had to drop a comic and because of it's popularity, Closetspace has to take precedence.

Starting Monday, April 21, I'll "strip" AWFW everyday from Episode 1. At the end of the strips, on Episode 219, I'll pick up the series again from where we left off.

Hopefully, I'll have time to build up a year's worth of backlog, and we will never have to worry about doing only 14 comics in the time it should have taken to do 8 months.

CS updates will continue like normal. You readers deserve better. I hope I can give it to you in 44 weeks.
