Tomorrow, I put in my two week's notice, at a job I rather like, with people who like me, in a state that will always be my home to leave all the friends and family I have here, to go across the continent, sight mostly unseen, live with people who I've known in person for just a few hours, in the biggest city I've ever lived in where I know hardly anyone and with only a few dollars in my pocket, so I can be closer to my love.

I'm not going to lie. I'm scared.

But she's worth it.

Well, it's been a week, most of you have seen it by now. If not, I suggest not reading any further.

When last we saw the our heroes, Sarah Jane was about to be exterminated by Daleks, Torchwood was under siege, and the Rose Tyler and her odd lisp returned in time to see the Doctor hit by Dalek fire and regenerating....

Please accept this letter as my two-weeks notice of resignation, per company policy. Due to my impending move to Seattle, my last day of work will be July 26th, or July 25th, whichever is more convenient for the Company.

I’ve made the decision to resign, not because I'm unhappy with the opportunities you've presented, but as a strategic career move. I have enjoyed working with you and being part of the [CurrentCompanyName] and [FormerCompanyName] family. Should future changes warrant my rehire from Seattle, I would gladly accept.

Be assured that I will wrap-up all unfinished business in a professional manner, before the end of my last day. Please let me know if you need my help in any other way.
