LAst week, my dad and EMily were up here to help fix my truck. We did a good job, but the source of the leak was something we couldn't fix. Essentially, all that work was for nothing. But we'd replaced old tubing, and the leak had settled down a bit.

Yesterday I took the pickup into a mechanic's shop - they saw the leak right away and estimated a price of about $150. Quick fix, just one we couldn't make. Which is good, because with a little help from my parents and money I'd saved up I could afford it and still put a little under half my rent aside so I could get my finances a bit more "normalized."

Problem is, one of the repairs we made actually caused MORE damage to the pickup - and now I'm looking at about $350 more in repairs (Grand total of about almost $500) that won't be fixed till tomorrow (I'll have to take the day off to get it). So, there goes my saved rent, making the next paycheck ALL rent, and so it'll be about a month before I can actually buy any groceries (of which, I haven't bought any since I moved in two month ago because of money problems).

Gonna be a LONG month. Very long and hungry month.

Maybe it's not to late to go back to Texas. This time in Seattle has just been one disaster after another. :/
