Booting from USB: XP 0x0000007Bs, Ubuntu corrupts, Arch kernel panics. Will Win98SE be my savior? Or should I just get a cheap hard drive?
Looks like I'm SOL in the "Boot from USB" department. I guess I can just keep reinstalling Ubuntu till I can afford a real HDD (Jan 2022).
Upstairs PC won't boot to CD unless there's a HDD installed (?!?). Used the downstairs PC HDD to rescue that PC. End result: 2 trashed PCs.
Eyes dialated, trashed PCs, this was not how I wanted to spend my weekend.
