Most of Umber's pics of me have my glasses off. Turns out, with them off, I look just like my mom.

Reminds me of her words when she finally accepted me for who I am: "I'm glad you look like me, because you'll make a pretty girl."

So, remember in 2008, when we had that last Snowmageddon that shut the city down for nearly two weeks? I didn't go into work those two weeks.

But that's not exactly true. That was true for about three days. After we moved the pickup to the top of the hill, I could pretty much go anywhere I wanted and did. I bought groceries, visited friends, had snow days....

This Snowpocalypse, I made a special effort to walk to AwesomeJob each day. No matter the snowfall. Why?

Because when a company treats you badly, I have no incentive to go out of my way to work for them.

Speakeasy lasted all of nine months. I'm on year three at AwesomeJob.

Alright. It's above freezing, it's raining, but there's still snow on the ground. Gonna go grab groceries. I'll have my phone with me in case something happens, but it's still mostly down for the count. (It boots up after about ten minutes, but the keyboard and camera randomly go crazy after a few minutes).

So I made it all the way to the driveway beffore I slipped, slid on my butt all the way to street, then fell over trying to get up. So yeah, no groceries today.
