If I could spend 48 hours in any time period, it'd prolly be Fri evening to Sun morning in 1985. I remember that as an awesome year as a kid. Wonder what it'd be like as an adult.

Going through AWFW in an effort to pick it back up. Its funny how my tastes have changed since I started these comics.

CS has always been pretty stable. The story hasn't changed majorly sine 1995 or so (Carrie's musical ability and Allisons becoming post op are the only major differences).

AWFW though is lightyears different than it original story. Originally, it was much much lighter and personal. All about Andrea's life believing she was an angel, and ending with her death saving a child. And it ended there.

Eventually I thunked up a sequel that involve Andrea in heaven, also much more lighthearted than the epic we ended up with, and ended sadly, but sweetly.

Instead, about 14 episodes in or so, the story took a hard right turn, the characters had a better story to tell and we ran with a war story spanning a whole lotta time and characters.

I like the story as it is now, but if I'd started writing it today, especially after viewing Haibane Renmei (which was the kind of lighter story I wanted to write) It would have most likely been that more personal, light hearted version of the story.

Still, the rest of the story as it stands goes on. Were 66% of the way through. And, oddly enough, that sweetly sad ending is still in AWFW. In one shape or another.

When I finish AWFW (and CS) I plan to release the original storylines. I wonder what people would think of the changes....

Here's a hint: Abaddon was once a high school goth girl who got in with a bad crowd....
