As a former Penn State townie, and someone who had JoePa's back until the Freeh Report came out...wow. Totally appropriate, but wow.

So coming back from Texas, I'll be driving in Dad's pickup. This means I get a cross country roadtrip. While I can do a straight shot from TX to WA in five days...I'm thinking of a special route - The No Freeways route. All surface roads, all the way up, through Americana itself. Oddly enough, also will take about five days (although those last two may be kind long days): http://goo.gl/maps/i2XV

We did do this before, on the big roadtrip up here, but only in Texas. Emily and I made a point to not hit a freeway in Texas, and it was a blast. I'll be alone this time, but I think it'll be just as fun.
