Dad wanted to drive in the snow instead of letting me (I'm experienced), so I gave him a crash course. Immediately spun out and grazed a car. Not the crash course I had in mind.

Still wants to keep driving in this...might have to pull rank if he still can't do it.

Looks like the weather will be rough for a while, so were making out for I 5 breaking out no freeways rule. In Missoula well decide whether to go off freeway, stay on freeway to a different destination our call it a wash.

Jenn's quick and dirty rules for snow driving in a rear wheel 2WD pickup: So that gas pedal and brake pedal? DON'T USE THEM. Use the gears to take off and brake. Got me through five years of Pennsylvania.

Still going "no freeways" but because of the accident and routing around a closed pass, we've had to cut back today's trip.
