D So...$1500 to fix the pickup enough that they can continue troubleshooting it...or $1000 to rent a moving truck and tow that thing home.

With the failure of Plan A thru L, it's looking like plan 7R23-beta is go. Moving Van, vehicle tow, fastest trip route. $1100 plus gas and food. Way more than I'd planned, but doable...and way less than repairing the pickup.
