Apr. 24th, 2013 12:18 pmLast night I played some Street Fighter 4 at the arcade. SF4 is the first SF game where I played the console versions FIRST, then the arcade versions...so I was soundly trounced despite being pretty good on the 3DS. It got me thinking about the version I bought several years ago.
I got a copy of the arcade game a few years ago for my PC via Steam (but on that system I couldn't get it to run more than 5 or 10 FPS), and with Steam being available on Linux now, I gave it a shot/
I installed Steam and downloaded some of the games available in Linux for it (Sadly, not SF4). It didn't go very well. 1 to 2 FPS on Half Life on what was originally built as a gaming machine...so I moved over to Windows and installed HAlf LIfe there. Boom 60+FPS. So I downlaoded the rest f the games and then SF4.
Holy cow - this system plays SF4. It plays it well.
Might be time to retire the 3DS version. ;)

Apr. 24th, 2013 03:50 pmWith all the emotionalness of my last day at Nintendo, I forgot to post this. It's a few weeks late, but here it is: http://youtu.be/zN111Ow3Tj0
