Jan. 8th, 2014 09:40 pmSo I know where the story is going in Closetspace, but I couldn't envision what I needed for the next episode. So I went into the place in my head where Carrie and the others live to ask them "What do you want me to draw next?"
Six panel comic became ten panels of work.
I've learned to never argue with the characters, but damn, they're needy. :D

It doesn't look right without that 16mm film blur. http://youtu.be/CDuQ9BUp1As

Jan. 8th, 2014 11:30 pmThe company I work for is Going Places. Seriously. They are.
Today we got into a side discussion about employment futures and how they need X techs and Y techs and whatnot. And I asked myself The Question: "Could I make a career here?"
It wasn't the answer I was expecting. But, to be honest, there precidense for that answer. Of all the jobs I've had, I've only ever answered "Yes" to two jobs. Dell and Nintendo. Dell I royally f'ed up. Nintendo and I just couldn't see eye to eye on the job situation.
So when I asked if I could make a career here, the immediate reply was "Why Bother?"
And to be honest, I can't say Yes or No thinking about it any deeper. Say No and you cut off any real future with the place. Say Yes and you set yourself up for a Nintendo-sized disappointment if it doesn't happen. I'd like to plan for my future, but I've never been stable enough to plan much farther than a half year or so out.
Meh. Just keep moving forward. What will be will be.
