Aug. 9th, 2014 01:01 amI have more internet than I know what to do with.
So, for the last four days my internet has been really intermittent. Today, it was down again, and while my Linksys router was old, it wasn't at fault. So I called Time Warner. And they said "Didn't you get the letter? You're getting a free upgrade to 100Mbps, and you need a replacement modem."
So...I swapped it out. And it still didn't work. so i called, and they set up an appointment for next week(!). 10PM, it finally comes up. And OMFG, I dunno what I'm going to do with all this bandwidth.
It's nice though...while I had a good speed when I moved in, I've been cutting back on the speeds to cut my bill back. Suddenly it goes through the roof, and for free? That's....wow. :D
There's only one device that uses the 5GHz wireless, though - my phone. The rest is 2.4GHz. The Wii U and the PC, though, are hardwired and using all the bandwidth. Hulu looks REAL in nice in honest-to-goodness HD.
Well, let's user the internet to it's full 100Mbps potential: BRING ON THE PORN AND PIRATED MOVIES! :D
