24 hours later, my house still smells like an Indian grocery.

There has not been a lot of positive things in my blogs lately, so here's one. For the first 35 years of my life, I did not know how to cook. At all. Literally anything. Now, knowing I can make food completely from scratch, and good food at that, makes me immensely happy.

Jenn: "You know, I really regret designing all these angels with masks...it made sense storywise, but I don't have the art skills to differentiate all the angels very well."
Andrea: "I can get rid of mine you know. And if I remove mine, Hanna will remove hers. And I can make it a story point."
Jenn: "............do it."

When I first moved to Seattle, I got a job at Speakeasy, located in the heart of downtown Seattle. I worked the nightshift, and left work at 11. I'd walk through town to the bus (Seattle's bus system is actually pretty top-notch compared to Austin's), and sit and wait about 20 minutes for my ride to Bellevue. One thing that surprised me was how quiet the town got at night. Unless you were on Capitol Hill or it was the weekend, the streets were mostly quiet. Sometimes it was so quiet you could hear the Puget Sound splashing from a few blocks away.

Today I drove through downtown Austin on the way home, and I remembered why I moved here. This place is alive. Twenty-four seven. Something always going on here, whether its 3AM or 3PM. The town is always bustling, and moving, and always with the music. Wither in clubs, or busking in the streets. I haven't been able to do much or see anyone since I got back due to the money problems...but it's all still here. I just need to DO it. When I can afford it.

I need to find a way to stay here, if it's at all possible anymore. One more resume sent out.

Trying something a bit different in the bills this month, passing then all off, in full, at the beginning of the month (minus gas and groceries). After they're paid, no spending (minus gas and groceries) until rent is met. Anything after that is mine.

Should cut down on the amount of surprise bills and overages. I hope. Already paid my garbage, water, phone, and cable. I think my only other outstanding bill is electricity. I'll check when I get home.

Here's hoping I can get a handle on this before rent goes up/I move to a cheaper apartment.

That internet outage has to be heat related. It goes out consistently every afternoon just as it's getting hot, then comes back in the evening as it cools off. Today, they internet came back online after a thunderstorm dropped the temp from 105 to 90. Sure enough, the internet is back on....
