Ever wanted to know the story behind the creation of the comics? The CS/VE crossover? My attitudes on living in Texas? Who I'll vote for? IT'S ALL HERE! Eddie Cabot interviews me for "In My Humble Opinion."

Get a sandwich, it's a long one.

One thing I really love about the Wii U Gamepad. Watching movies while I do the arts.

(Sensationalized) stories like this are why I think Allison's story in Closetspace is so important to tell. If you're not trans before the surgery, you will be after.

Had a nice night drawing with Liz and Crystal. If you can call Facebook chat "With." I miss my art buddies.

"Oh, look. The sun's up," said the big ball of worry lying in bed trying desperately to get to sleep.

Well, if I can't sleep, may as well be productive and work on comics. Gonna be a wreck during tonight's Livestream, I think.

Bad News: Woke up to an incredibly painful and swollen right knee and elbow, Ow.
Good News: Started the day with "a short 15 minute phone interview" that blossomed into a one hour call with a very VERY hopeful IT job.

I also got a very good idea why I'm NOT getting callbacks as part of the interview. I'm applying for any tech support job and entry level IT job. The tech/customer support jobs are calling back with $9/$10/hr. But I get almost no entry level IT job callbacks.

The interview began with the caller saying ""Well, you have a ton of experience, and this is an entry level IT job. To be honest, you're likely going to be bored here." I mentioned that I have a lot of customer support, but only one job with IT support that didn't last very long. I'm trying to transition into an IT career, and am willing to do entry level IT in order to learn from the ground up. At that point, the interview became more upbeat.

Apparently, I look too awesome on paper for the jobs I'm applying for, even though my experience in IT itself is VERY limited.

Later we began talking about compensation, and again, it took a bit of a sombre mood. "$12-15 depending on experience, and you're very experienced. Is that....okay?"

My reply: "I'm about to lose my apartment and move back to San Antonio, and this is an entry level job in what's going to be a long term IT career. I'll be happy with that."

The job is in South Austin, which is going to be hell commuting from where I am now, but as I'm looking for a new apartment, it may be a good time to start looking at affordable studios in the area of the job. Bee Cave, Cedar Valley, Manchaca and South Austin are all in the job area...might be time to start looking for apartments in THAT area.

Between the pain in my knee and my elbow, I'm suddenly feeling a bit queasy. Not doing too hot tonight. Gonna try and do the Livestream anyways.

I can either go to San Antonio for my family or go to the hospital for my knee. Still trying to figure out which one to do.
