Looking back at some of my older stuff, I actually don't think my art now is as good as it used to be, when I was actively trying to get into Comico and Antarctic Press.

But as Crystal said to me, back then it had all my concentration and time...

Sometimes I wonder if the reason I think my art was better years ago than now, and even some of the early AWFW and CS comics are better than now was in the way I drew them.

For the longest time, each panel of each comic was an 8.5x11 sheet of paper, which is a LOT of real estate. I think the decline started when I economized and did 6 panels per 11x17 sheet of paper, and later 3 panels per 9x12.

Digitally, the canvas can be as big as I want, but the window itself is very small. 3300x3300 = 5.5 Inches square per panel, blown up to a 22 inch tablet, but blown up even more to small parts of that panel as I work on it. It means I'm working at really tiny scales....
