With the storm coming, the only thing keeping me from driving out to it, and "driving it back" is the ferry ride across Puget Sound.

Back in Texas, several times a year, we'd get massive thunderstorms rolling through. One time, I decided to "Make it Last." Knowing a squall line was heading into the Hill Country, and using the webbrowser on my Sidekick, I drove out of Austin, deep into the other side of the Hill Country, and met up with a storm. And for the next two hours, slowly "Drove it back" to Austin.

Three and a half hour long thunderstorms are AMAZING.

After seeing video of people in Portland driving into flooded streets, and the possibility that this could happen in the Seattle area, allow me to give you a mantra from the Texas Hill Country, where we don't build bridges over creekbeds: "Turn Around, Don't Drown."
